Data Recovery and data loss during a Recovery is the worst nightmare for any DBA or organisation. Db2 has come a long way and has always tried to improve the Data Recovery process in every specific scenario. This presentation will explore the latest features of Db2 V12 (and above), improvements in the Db2 Data Recovery process. We will look at the recovery of various types of Db2 tables such as PBG, PBR Tablespace, Tables with Triggers, Tables that are CDC enabled in different recovery scenarios such as Recover to a prior log point or Recover to Image copy or onto a new Tablespace from another image copy. How it can best be improved for faster recovery process, not impact the down time due to Data corruption and minimise the data loss. The presentation will also include the Db2 Index Recovery/ Rebuild Options and post recovery checks to be incorporated.
