In this presentation, we will take technical deep dive on how to accomplish automated data discovery, classification, real-time activity monitoring and machine learning analytics to understand, detect and respond to suspicious activity, and discuss the different scalable architectures for monitoring and protecting your data. The session will also emphasis on how you can protect your databases and data against insider and external attacks by understanding how to leverage capabilities such as alerting, blocking, and quarantining users and/or processes of suspicious behaviour. SQL Functions enable customers to improved productivity, performance, enable cross platform porting, and encapsulate application logic in the database. Db2 for z/OS supports Built in Functions that Aggregate data, operate on scalar data, as well as materialize data as a table. Db2 also enables customers to create functions to in Host languages (such as COBOL or C/C++) or in SQL PL (The ANSI compatible SQL Procedures Language). Finally, Db2 13 also introduced SQL Data Insights which allows easy, function based AI, to be applied to customer data. This session will cover the basics, as well as dig deeper into how to exploit all the Function(al) capabilities of Db2 to take your SQL queries to new levels.
